Staging Thoughts Through Music Gedanken mit Musik inszenieren

How can I stage thoughts through music? Can music take a position? What does ideology sound like? And can music lie?

These are the questions from which my work emerges. It moves in the field of tension between politics, history, sexuality or identity. Not illustratively, but as material that fuels musical situations. I am less interested in answers than in the productive collision of contradictions within the music itself. I want music not to explain thoughts and contradictions, but to make them felt.

Wie kann ich Gedanken mit Mitteln der Musik inszenieren? Kann Musik selbst Haltung beziehen? Wie klingt Ideologie? Und kann Musik lügen?

Aus solchen Fragen entstehen meine Arbeiten. Sie bewegen sich im Spannungsfeld von Politik, Geschichte, Sexualität oder Identität. Nicht illustrativ, sondern als Material, das musikalische Situationen befeuert. Antworten interessieren mich dabei weniger als das produktive Aufeinandertreffen von Widersprüchen in der Musik selbst. Ich will, dass Musik Gedanken und Widersprüche nicht erklärt, sondern erfahrbar macht.
